Coolsculpting® it is an FDA-cleared, nonsurgical, fat-reduction treatment that uses controlled cooling to eliminate stubborn fat that resists all efforts through diet and exercise. CoolSculpting® delivers precisely controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells beneath the skin. Treated fat cells are crystalized (frozen), then die. What can you expect before and after treatment?
During Your First Visit
You will meet with a CoolSculpting licensed clinician for a one-on-one consultation. Your CoolSculpting clinician will take the time to discuss the best approach to help you achieve the goals you set for reshaping your body. Together, you’ll look at your whole body from different angles and then focus on specific areas where you want to eliminate fat.
CoolSculpting® takes time! Optimal results are seen between six to nine weeks.

On Your Treatment Day
- A vacuum applicator is placed on the skin to bring it into contact with cooling panels.
- You may experience sensations of pulling, tugging, mild pinching, intense cold, tingling, stinging, aching and cramping at the treatment site. These sensations will subside as the treatment produces an anesthetic effect.
- The fat is cooled for up to an hour.

A little bit more about CoolSculpting Elite®
The CoolSculpting® Elite procedure is completely non-surgical, which makes returning to normal activities afterward a typically easy process. Oftentimes, patients even return to work after their CoolSculpting® treatment is over.
Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary redness, swelling, blanching, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging, tenderness, cramping, aching, itching or skin sensitivity, as well as the sensation of fullness in the back of the throat after the submental area (under the chin) treatment. These effects are temporary and generally resolve within days or weeks.
You may start to see changes as quickly as four weeks after the treatment and will experience the most dramatic results after 90 days. Your body will still continue to flush out fat cells for up to four months, or longer, after treatment.
