CoolTone

Do you live a healthy and active lifestyle, but are not achieving the muscle tone you desire? If so, CoolTone™ can help!

First there was fat. Now there’s muscle. CoolTone by CoolSculpting is a non-invasive, FDA-cleared device to tighten and strengthen muscles. It uses magnetic technology that forces the muscles to contract and strengthen.

How CoolTone Works

This non-invasive treatment uses magnetic pulse technology to create muscle contractions that cannot be achieved with exercise alone. It acts on muscle tissue and induces contractions to tone, define, and enhance musculature in the abdomen, buttocks, and thighs.

CoolTone Procedure

The suction pressure of a vacuum applicator may cause sensations of gentle pulling and sensations of pressure. You may experience intense cold, stinging, tingling, aching, or cramping as the treatment begins. These sensations generally subside during treatment as the area becomes numb. The treated area may look or feel stiff after the procedure and transient blanching (temporary whitening of the skin) may occur.

By penetrating the skin and fat layers and targeting only the muscle layer with magnetic energy, CoolTone generates involuntary muscle contractions. Similar to what occurs after muscle-contraction exercises, targeted muscle fibers become stronger and more conditioned.

Frequently Asked Questions About Photofractional Skin Renewal

How does it work?

CoolTone uses magnetic muscle stimulation technology to stimulate muscle contractions and enhance tone and strength. The high-powered magnetic waves bypass your skin and fat to get to the muscles and induce involuntary muscle contractions that strengthen and firms the muscle fibers – providing results beyond what you can achieve through your normal workouts.

Is it safe?

Yes! CoolTone has been cleared by the FDA for toning, firming, and strengthening the muscles on the buttocks, thighs, and abdomen.

What is the difference between CoolTone and CoolSculpting?

The primary difference is that CoolSculpting works to eliminate fat, and CoolTone works to tone and strengthen muscles. Together, these innovative treatments can provide the transformational body contouring results you’ve been striving to achieve.

What areas of my body can I treat?

CoolTone can be used on the buttocks, abdomen, and thigh areas.

Will I need multiple treatments?

Yes, for optimal results, most people require about six treatments, within a three-week time frame. After that, maintenance is recommended every month. The number of treatments you need to meet your goals will depend upon your current condition, medical history, and lifestyle. During your consultation, we will work with you to develop a treatment plan to provide you with the results you desire.

What should I expect after my treatment?

Following your treatment, you may resume your regular daily activities – no downtime is required. Expect to feel some muscle soreness in the target area, like how you’d feel after an intense workout.

Are there any side effects?

Some patients report redness, swelling, tingling, mild muscle soreness and cramping in the targeted area following treatment. However many experience only mild muscle soreness.

When will I see results?

Results vary from person to person. Some people report seeing noticeable muscle tone and increased ab definition one day after a full treatment cycle. As far as clinical trials go, CoolTone measured a 16% increase in muscle mass and fat reduction two months after the treatment cycle.

Does CoolTone replace exercise?

No. We do not recommend you replace exercise with CoolTone. Regular exercise provides extensive health benefits for your bodily systems, including cardiovascular, dermatologic, endocrine, mental, and many more. CoolTone only helps to enhance the tone and strength of the muscles treated. However, CoolTone can be an excellent adjunct to your workout routine.
